Sadness

I am so sad. My one on one nurse, Bridget, is no longer my nurse. She’s been my nurse for a year and a half. The school district ended their contract with the company she works for so Monday I will meet my new nurse. I don’t want a new nurse. I thought things would have stayed the same until the last day of school but I was wrong. I am really sad about it and cried. Even my mom cried. My mom brought cupcakes for the whole class for a goodbye party for Bridget. My mom said not to be too sad that we will keep in touch with her. She will meet us at Johns Incredible Pizza with her family and even come watch me dance. 🙂 It’s hard for me to keep a brave face though.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I fell asleep early last night but my mom woke me up to watch the ball drop. It was pretty cool and now I want to go to New York City to see it live.

The Nutcracker is all over so now I am getting ready for Cinderella auditions. They happen on my moms birthday, January 18th.

Shorty after that is my birthday!! I’m trying to decide if I want a party or if I want to go to Las Vegas with my mom. It’s a tough decision.

Oh, Christmas was fun. My mom got me a Duck Dynasty pillow and blanket and my Grammy got us Duck a Dynasty band aids and a Si Chia Pet. We also got some Grammy fudge! My Grammy makes some fudge that is really good. My little sister loves it. She would eat the whole bowl if we let her.

Life is Crazy By: Siobhán

Hey everyone, I know it’s been a while but I have been so busy. I’m on a small break between performances of The Nutcracker but I still have dance classes and school. However, starting Monday I am on a break from school and dance so that will be a nice little relaxing break.

On a PHP note, my mom filled my Cortef prescription back in September. I am running low so she called to refill and it said the prescription has been discontinued. WTH? So she called my endocrinologist and they didn’t call her back. So she spent two days trying to get a hold of them and they finally put in a new prescription. What’s the point of putting in refills if you can’t get them?

Anyway, two weeks ago I spent a little time in the ER and almost needed my shot. My mom, step dad, sister and I were at the North Park Toyland Parade. At the end of the parade while I was waiting to perform I was cold so we went to my moms SUV to get my jacket out of the back. She lifted the back door and handed me my jacket. I was out of her line if sight and she went to close the door and slammed it down on top of my head. It literally knocked me to the ground. I was crying so much and had a HUGE lump on my head. My mom said that even with all my hair you could see the lump. The doctor said I had a concussion and to stress dose me for a few days and lots of ice and ibuprofen. I’m feeling a lot better and my lump is gone. 🙂 It all went away just in time for opening night of The Nutcracker.

We are in dress rehearsals now.  My first show is on Wednesday.  That’s the my class and another class from my school are coming to see it.  I did get hurt during last nights rehearsal.  I got my hand and wrist stomped on so now I have to wear a brace.   😦   I can take it off during shows though so that is good.

Speaking of shows, tomorrow is the North Park Toyland Parade and Festival.  It will be fun!I usually dress as an elf and walk with the big banner.  After the parade I go change into my first costume for the festival.

Other than my wrist and hand things are going great.  I’m excited that it is Nutcracker time and right after that, Cinderella auditions!

Life has been crazy busy lately.  Rehearsal and dance class and homework etc.  On the plus side, my whole class AND my teacher from last year and his class are coming to see me perform in The Nutcracker.  It’s going to be AWESOME!!!  Cinderella auditions are on my moms birthday, January 18th.  The best part of that, my Grammy is going to come see me perform in it!!!  Right after that is the Spring Showcase and my great grandpa is gonna come see that one.  I haven’t met him yet but my mom says he is really nice.

My mom had a meeting with my teacher.  He said I am doing REALLY good in school.  All my grades are good and he said if a certain test was done before he had to enter my grades, I would have gotten an Advanced in math.  An advanced is like an A, Proficient is like a B, Basic is like a C and Below Basic is like a D or F.  

Anyway, I think I’m becoming Lactose Intolerant.  Every time I eat anything with cheese in it, I get a really bad stomach ache and other things.  My mom is going to take me to the doctor to see if that’s what it happening.  I hope not because all my fav foods have cheese in them.  My mom said there is a pill I can take but I don’t want to have to take another pill every day.  Ugh

I’ve been so busy I barely have time to do homework. I am dancing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and some Saturdays.

Nutcracker rehearsals are going good. We’re coming up to performances. I can’t believe it’s almost December already. I’m gonna be a busy girl. I have the Studio Recital with Vernetta this Sunday and then the North Park Toyland parade on December 7 and then my first Nutcracker performance on December 11. After that is all Nutcracker performances. I’m gonna be such a busy girl. 🙂

Sorry it’s been so long. I’ve been really busy with The Nutcracker and school and dance classes.

I received some terrible news this past weekend. My friend from dance class, Danika, lost her battle with brain cancer. She was so young. Almost my age. I am so sad and I really want her back so bad. I just want to give her one more hug. Her Wake is tomorrow and the. Her funeral is on Monday. My mom is letting me miss school to go to her funeral.

I heard my mom say it makes her sad to hear about kids dying from diseases like cancer. She also said she wishes she could have taken the cancer away from Danika. She got us ladybug wings to wear to the funeral because they were Danika’s favorite.

Anyway, talking about Danika is making me cry again so I am gonna go.

I Got It!! By: Siobhán

I GOT A PART IN THE NUTCRACKER!!!!  I am sooooo excited. This will be my first big show and my mom said if I like it, I can audition for Cinderella.   🙂   My mom even signed me up for the school show too. Some if the classes from my school are gonna go so they will get to watch me dance.

Anyway, I went to horseback riding but, I was too scared to trot. My mom asked if I will ever trot again and I told her probably not. She is kind of bummed because she says I look so peaceful on a horse. I need to think about if I want to keep riding anymore.

So, now I am a busy little dancer. I dance Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.   My mom says that is a bit much for an 8 year old but, she said we will do it for a couple weeks and see how I do.

Sorry it’s been a while. My mom had knee surgery so she couldn’t help me too much.  So, we decided to relax while she recovers and I start 3rd grade.

I started 3rd vrade the beginning of this month. My mom says this is going to be the best year ever. I think so too. I have Mr. Lou as my teacher. He is the best. He likes to use music to teach us things. 

We have Mr. Luchs who teaches us to play the violin. We have a problem though, we have a lot more kids this year and the district only wanted to give us Mr. Luchs for one day. Well, that isn’t enough. So, my mom and the rest of the PTO had to pay $18,000 for him for a second day but, that still wasn’t enough. So, our new principal Mrs. Bartolini had to fight for a third day. She fought and fought and guess what….she got the third day!!!!  She is awesome!  My mom says Mrs. Bartolini is the best thing to happen to our school.  I think she is right.

Today I also had my Nutcracker audition. It was easy and I think I did good. They told my mom we will get an email with the cast list on Monday or Tuesday. I hope I get a part.  My mom is paying a lot if money to help my dreams come true. If I get a part,  I will be dancing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. That’s a lot of dancing but it’s what I want to do.

Anyway, I gotta start slowing down for the evening. I have horseback riding tomorrow and then my friend Catherines pool party.
